Hmmm.....Unless CO2 is poisonous to BA, the correlation could, at least in special cirucmstances be a bit looser in the other direction, too -- having CO2 and BBA.

I know that Tom is talking about high light tanks when he says that
insufficient CO2 is the cause of BBA, but for those who don't know that, it
should be pointed out that there are a lot of low tech tanks that don't
inject CO2 and don't have BBA either.

Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that insufficient CO2 for the
amount of light and dosing leads to BBA.
