[APD] carbo plus units and kh

the units work well for me if the water had a fairly high kh. when i moved  
to an area where the tapwater was very soft the clips literally melted and  
lasted less than 3 months. In Houston where the water KH was 8 they worked  very 
well although they were  more costly than a canister setup. In  Massachusetts 
they did not work well at all. 
 
One thing about them is they produce an extremely fine mist of bubbles  which 
 goes hand in hand with Mr. Barr's misting ideas and probably is  the primary 
reason for  their effectiveness.
