Re: [APD] loaches and snails



All of the loaches I keep are much smaller than the clown loack.

Yoyo loach   - Botia almorhae - are the largest ones I have at about 2.5
inches.

Stiated loach  - Botia striata - very pretty and smaller than the yoyos, the
botia page below mentions that they are snail killers.

Skunk Loach -  Botia morleti - smallest of the 3.  Attractive and one of few
fish that makes a sound.  They snap a barb and make a distince clicking
sound.  Reported to be aggressive but I have had no problems with them in my
community tank.
