Thanks for the info! It did help.  :-) I will check out the AHS lights you were talking about for my tropical plant tank, which also needs new lights. In this case though I'm trying to grow a pygmy water lily (Helvola) indoors in a 40 gallon ceramic
pot so I really need something that hangs since there isn't a tank top to set it on. It seems like the price is equivalent to what you paid 7 years ago.
