Right, you're just buffing/removing the smaller scratches and softening the
deeper ones. To remove all of them you have to scratch it up deeper than it
already is (by sanding) then use a finer grit to remove THOSE scratches, then
use a finer grit... etc. The final coat of wax should fill in any
microscratches.
Do all their tanks look like this in the sun?
