A quality reflector and high enough volume cooling fan would take care of
most any tank heat up problem. A splash guard on a MH fixture protects the
bulbs from water splash, but also seals the airspace inside the fixture for
the cooling fans to draw room air from one end and expell the heat out the
side on the other.
