[APD] house plants & aquariums

I was wondering if philadendren plants(ivy vine type) could be fully submerged. I thought it might be a good idea for Mbuna chiclids sp. tank.Considering that they're herbivorous & usually stray from thick,waxy plants.
 
Anubia's, java ferns, widelov ferns, even some crypt. species like my wendtii/bronze. They all stay away from these.
