Now what would Wilma know about normal?

They reproduce like crazy almost anywhere for me and
have for decades. The only thing that kills them or sets them back
is no or low carbonates; they can't make shells then and if you
see dead snail shells slowly dissolving and getting thinner
as they lay on the gravel then you can be reasonably sure your
water is pretty soft and acid.
