[APD] Aragonite for KH Rising

I am planing to add aragonite to the canister filter in order to add Ca to 
the system. My tank has 100G, my tap water has 4ºKH.

How much of this substance is necesary to increase 1º?.

Talking to a reef guy, he told me that in the short term the aragonite will 
be colonized by bacteria, inhibiting the contact with water thus the 
dissolving process produced by the CO2. Is this correct?
