Re: [APD] Tanganyika shell-dweller tank

Liz

You asked how much light is in my tank. I have three 20 watt 24 inch T-12 Triton lamps on the tank. One double lamp reflector and a single lamp. When the Tritons need replacing I will be going with a cheaper lamp to see how they work. I checked my pH today with EM Science dip strips with 0.5 unit increments and get between 7.5 and 8.0. That is close enough for me. I have nice bench top electronic pH meters here at work and can use them but why bother? The strips are easier and accurate enough for me. (I did check them with the meters)
