I might note that while this applies to water from certain wells, most of us
do not have a water well from which to draw water. Most of us get water from
a municipal water supply, which, if it contained additional CO2, has given
it up before it ever gets to our faucets.

So the effects of water change can and in this case do include true
pearling.  It is a handy thing to know, tested and non-subjective.  Much
more easily settled than the color of water in a white bucket... :)
