I want to try creating a planted nano tank. (Karen R. had a neat story about
that somewhere, I don't remember where.)

Most major aquarium websites sell just the tank (Aquavase) for under $5,
dimensions 4.5 x 4.5 x 4.5".

But the combo kit which includes small filter and light have tank dimensions
6.7 x 6.7 x 6".

I prefer the larger tank but cannot find any place that sells just the tank.
(I don't like the colors of the lights, and prefer not to get those combo
units.)

One websearch turned up a company in France that sells the same kind of tank
at 11 x 11 x 11" but I cannot find it in the US.

Can anyone suggest a source for the 6.7 x 6.7 x 6" or 11 x 11 x 11" nano
tanks? Or any other company that sells low cost small cube tanks?

A related question ... the Deco Art Moon Glow tanks ... is the only
difference with the other aquavase kits the black light?

Thanks!
  shireen

makes a small, 2 1/2 gallon glass tank that you should be able to buy
locally.I believe it is sold as a betta tank, as it has slots in the upper
tank frame for glass partitions. I have one. I bought it at my local
PetSmart. The dimensions are:12" x 6" x 8.5" (lxwxh).Not too exciting
visually, with a simple black frame. Mini version of the standard glass
box.Regards,Dave
