Freshly drawn tap is commonly saturated or supersaturated with gases, so
some release of gas in the form of bubbles (false pearling) is common.  But
also from the same supersaturation, any O2 generated by the plants will not
likely dissolve, but appear as true pearling.  If CO2 happens to be one of
the gases present in excess, it could in turn boost photosynthesis and
result in additional true pearling.  Don't dismiss the possibility that true
pearling is involved quite so quickly or cavalierly.
