Thanks for the info.

Meanwhile, it seems the gmail signup/invitations are, as
they say, being given out like candy. Takes about 5 minutes
to find a handful if anyone is interested just google it
;-)

One of my favorite mail server sites is oddpost.com --
familiar interface, well behaved . . .
