I've been using a Python for years and after I did what you suggested (and
after replacing the "unthreaded" piece) have had no problems, aside from the
spraying from the attachment when I have it in fill mode, but since this is
not aerospace engineered, it's acceptable. Now the water usage is another
issue altogether....
