No problem there. A canistser just needs to be returning
water to a container at the same height as the container it
is taking water from -- that way, the gravity push uphill
on the filter output side is compensated by the gravity
pull down on the filter input -- essentially nets out to 0"
head. Length of pipe reduces flow by adding friction but
adding head really puts the squeeze on the the lower
pressure pumps in canister filters -- except the 1260 and
1060 pumps used on the jumbo canister models 2250 and 2260,
since those have the sump-pump type pumps on them.
