Yes, they are just conductivity meters that have the
readout display values based on an assumption of what is
causing the conductivity. Same goes for Total Dissolved
Solids meters -- same measurment technique (conductivity)
but the display is gives values based on an assujpiton
about what TDS are causing the conductivity. If you know
what is in the water making it conductive, you can figure
out the values yourself based on a microsiemens
(conductivity reading) and using tables for different
compounds, which tables are easily found via google.
