Re: [APD] algae pictures and identification

Steve,
That is an Australian place. There is also a field guide here in Oz for
algae called "Freshwater Algae in Australia" by Timothy Entwisle, Jason
Sonneman and Simon Lewis published by Sainty and Associates pty Ltd, PO Box
1219, potts Pont, NSW 2011, Australia. It was published in 1997 and is a
good guide to freshwater alga. All you need is a good quality microscope
to get an id down to a family or genus. The book even has a couple of
pages on algae management.

Cheers
Dave
