OK, I'll bite :-)  What causes it?  This, and some accompanying dusty algae
on the glass are the only problems I have in my tanks (unless I neglect
them).  I have to scrape once a week to keep it off the glass.  Not a huge
problem, but it would be nice to get rid of it as well.
