Re: [APD] Adding Carbonates



Caronates and CO2 (dissolved in water some of it forms
carbonic acid) enter into an equilibrium readction. Add
more carbonate and the pH goes up, add more acid (CO2,
which makes carbonic acid) andthe pH goes down. That's why,
if you you know the pH and the KH (carbonates) you can
mathematically derive the amount of carbonic acid (CO2) in
the water.
