[APD] Control of algae via bacteria

Here's some support for the bacterial mediated control of algae.

I suggested this as a reason for the RFUG's doing well some years ago.
Bacteria also reduce the NH4 present.

Some interesting tidbits about copper and pesky(Oscillitoria) and not so pesky algae (eg Pithophora) and other buggers that people complain about.
