YOu can order the ball cage assembly, including the ball,
from Eheim at this online address:

search for part described as "7444410 Ball with ball cage "
$16.76 

*But* you if the ball is all that you need to replace, the
same size ball in used in the ECCO line of Eheim filters
(2230 2231,etc,) and you can order

part Eheim number 7481020 Ball cage with ball  $4.81    

The ball is the same for each and the price diff is
incredible.
