[APD] RE: Dirt Cheap Flourite -and- What is Onyx Sand?

Wonderful!  Perfect timing too; I almost stopped at the local Petsmart the
other day where it is $20 per bag.  Many thanks!

I'm thinking about getting a bag or two of onyx sand or gravel as well,
partly just to add some variety (once I check the whole hardness issue out).
I've read some messages in the archive that mention it might have a slight
edge over flourite for plant growth, but no one seemed particularly sure.
Any thoughts?

Also, just wanted to say that for an unedmucated novice like myself, this
mailing list has been invaluable.  Keep it up! :)
