Kurt, low CO2 with sunlight is often a good way to induce Green water also.
The Diatom filter should take care of it though. Try and block the sunlight
and also raising the CO2 up higher will help.
At a pH of 6.8 and a KH of 3.5 you have a CO2 of 16.4ppm.
Double that. This will also prevent GW issues later.
