[APD] CO2/pH swings

I have recently cut back on the CO2 duration time(12 hrs. on during the day-12 hrs. off at night) to conserve CO2 because I have a W/D filter and use a lot of CO2 when it runs continuously.The pH has been 6.8 at the end of the day and 7.4 in the mornings and I am concerned about this swing.Anyone have any suggestions?Thanks.
