Yeah I had to separate them into a smaller tank after they did their
job.  I just stuck a bunch of the plants they came with in a 10 gallon
tank and I never feed em by them selves.  It seems like a little stable
eco-system.  It's been 7 months and no artificial food.  The plants they
sent with them grow like weeds.  BTW the reason I separated them was
because they would munch on the guppy fins.  I call them my hair algae
cleanup crew:)  Although I haven't had any since.


Just cross your fingers  :-\  .  Sometimes those fish will
annihilate more than algae -- plants, shrimp, other fish. 
Temperment seems to very widley from fish to fish.
