Yes. I remember how the observation that plants took up NH4 more
readily or faster than NO3 grew and mutated until some people became
convinced that their plants had to have ammonia and couldn't use
nitrate. There was a lot of worrying about how to supply ammonia.
Thank goodness that thread has died down.
