RE: [APD] Wave maker

I am aware that good circulation is not wave maker dependant. However a little experimentation can't hurt:-)

I have some really old powerheads. They have been running on this wave maker for about 4 years so far, if I keep them well 'oiled' they are fine. It should be fun to see what happens at any rate.

Thanks for the input.

If this is one of those devices that turn powerheads
off/on, be aware that many pwerhead manufacturers recommend
against using such devices because they supposedly
prematurely age the powerheads.

One manufacturer that does not give such a warning is
Aquarium Systems, which makes the Maxi-jet line of
powerheads.

Switching the direction of currents can look cool depending
on your tastes. Good circulation for a planted tank
certainly doesn't require swtiching the direction of the
current.
