I work in the electrical engineering department of an Architecture and 
Engineering firm.  We often get lighting vendor reps comming in to demo 
products.  One product that was very interesting was a wall-wash LED unit 
that used rows of different collored LEDS to create very even light across a 
flat surface.  It did a very nice white, and pretty much every color 
inbetween.  It could be programed to switch colors, dim/brighten, link 
multiple units together to get a moving color display, lots of options.  IF 
I remember correctly it had one row of red leds and two rows of blue and 
green.

Granted a single unit was about 1200, but it certainly showed some potential 
for LEDS.

This isn't the actual product I saw in the demonstration, but it is similar.
