Quick list: those two books--definitely. Add Tom B's dosing
regimen and Karen Randall's collected articles.

You have to collect the Randall articles yourself :-(  (why
Karen, why?)

All that together and you have a pretty nifty but succenct
collection to get you through most of what the average, and
above average, aquarist will encounter. It's also enough to
help you try some very different methods, overcome a
variety of common although sometimes pernicious problems,
ID plants you never thought you could and just plain have
even more fun.
