[APD] good foreground plant?

Going to be starting up a 40L tank soon, with DIY CO2 and 260W compact 
flourescent lighting. Any tips on a nice foreground, grass carpet type 
plant? I'd like to try something along the lines of glosso or 
riccia...anyone want to chime in on advantages/disadvantages to certain 
carpet plants? Thanks in advance.
