Sewerwyn,

This is apparently normal behaviour for cories; I've read that they have
the ability to absorb oxygen through the walls of their intestines. I have
five C. trilineatus in my 100 gallon and they do this even when the water is
saturated with dissolved oxygen and the plants are pearling madly.
