RE: [APD] Re: burrowing snails/MTS

I have 3 different planted tanks, a 12 gallon, a 29 gallon, and a 90 gallon.
I introduced MTS to all of them. The tanks all have essentially the same
substrate, differing light & plant combinations though. In the 29 & 90 the
MTS population is essentially non-existent, but in the 12 its like "night of
the living dead" at feeding time, its almost comical the numbers of MTS in
that tank - it doesn't bother me much - but it is curious that they could be
so happy in that tank, yet not in the others... Obviously something is
"right" for them in that tank - but I don't really know what.

Well I have heard about the indestructible nature of the MTS. I deliberately
introduced some MTS in my 10 gallon :) but they aren't multiplying, I
have found some empty shells and at night their numbers have lowered.
I really like snails and I would like them to reproduce.

MTS don't like me :(
