Adam, are you asking if you can turn your filter/s off at night or just a
powerhead or similar that you use for extra circulation?

Is there a reason to continue circulating water at nighttime? The fish load
is low enough that ambient gas transfer is fine, nobody is near the surface
in the AM. Do I need to keep pumping water all night or not?
If you can't tell I am trying to run the tank with minimum inputs and
eliminate what isn't required.
