Hydrilla produces tubers several inches down in the mud. I wonder
how effective herbicides, or draw-downs for that matter, are at
killing these tubers. I have a feeling that Hydrilla is going to be
really hard to get rid of. it is going to be like eradicating
duckweed from your tank. You have to get every last bit, and now the
"tank" covers an acre or so.
My solution is to spread the word that Hydrilla is a great
aphrodesiac, even more potent than tiger parts, viagra, or bear gall
bladders and then stand back and let the market forces operate. If
interest starts to flag, release new stories about prodigious
achievemants of heavy Hydrilla users.
