I agree with Tom's earlier advice that a good algae defense is providing a
good offense. Trim, and throw out those nasty infected leaves, chances are
they can't be converted. Keep up the vigilant dosing and testing to ensure a
healthy water column. Root out all the hidden algae and destroy it before it
compromises the safety of the rest of the tank! Introduce those algae
eaters, provide them the freedom to search out and destroy. Keep the algae
on the run and always stay prepared, which at times does cost money for
those fish, ferts, and water changes.
