The more information that sellers have about the odds of getting paid, the more confidence they might have in entering into transactions.  And the fact that not everybody here is meets his or her obligations, for whatever reason, can serve as a caution to those who are considering high value transactions.

Bad or careless behavior should be criticized with the intent of helping the actor to get better. It is no an unkind or "bad" thing to do, in my opinion.

I also do not think that the open letter that inspired this was at all negative.  I thought it was well done.
