What would be the nature of the goo in the tank as a result of yeast?  This 
sounds a lot like what I've had and been searching for a definition of and 
was told might be a fungus. I use DYI CO2 but didn't see a possibility for 
the yeast to be migrating 3 ft. or more up to the tank through the airhose.  
But the new diffusers I'm now using occasionally are showing some viscous 
translucent to whitish muck on them.
