I agree. I am using the new inexpensive Dupla cables with the built in
transformer that steps it down to 24 volts. I wouldn't set up a new tank
without them. They are reliable and extremely effective. My plants, IMO,
grow better in the tanks with the heaters. I had to pull info from several
sources to make an informed decision. It was George Booths site that
