Re: Pellia endiviafolia



Just for the halibut, I checked the USDA's plants database for Pellia 
endiviafolia.  They have Pellia endiviifolia (note the spelling difference) 
and two subspecies listed as being native to North America.  Unfortunately, 
they didn't have a distribution map for them.  No pics, either.

Pellia endiviifolia (Dicks.) Dumort.
Pellia endiviifolia (Dicks.) Dumort. ssp. alpicola R.M. Schust.
Pellia endiviifolia (Dicks.) Dumort. ssp. endiviifolia.

There were a few other Pellia species listed as well.  If you have access 
to a good herbarium or botanical garden, you might be able to find out if 
they grow in your area.
