Dead fish? I think NH4NO3 is ammonium nitrate. I would think that if it took
your tank any amount of time to convert the ammonium to nitrite->nitrate it
could kill your fish. But hey I'm just speculating. I say try it and if it
fails let us know so we can tell the next person not to do it. =)
