Iodine/Iodide for shrimp

This came as a surprise to me, because, as a result of a recent posting in
the APD, I had been throwing in 1/4 tsp. table salt (which contains
iodine) every week. My understanding was that, like us, the shrimp need
only a trace of iodine.
I don't see any mention of iodine/iodide in the listing for Tropica Master
Grow. Nor do I find it mentioned in the ingredients listed for Tetramin
flakes. Please elaborate. Thanks.
