I think that too much water moves through the filter too quickly for
the concentration to be high enough to have serious effects.  OTOH,
even if that was not the case, not much bio action is needed in a
planted tank with the rapid growth that comes from CO2 injection, lots
of lights, nutrients, and of course, lots of plants.
