Budding Barclaya

I have a very small Barclaya longifolia which started from a rhizome. The 
longest leaves on it are only about 3" long. It has put out a bud which has 
not yet opened. I'd like the plant to put most of its energy into growing 
bigger leaves & was planning to snip it off next water change, but if the 
flower is really wonderful I'll trade big leaves for a nice flower. Can 
anybody point me to a picture or describe the flower?
