There is always an exception the plant world:

Crassula aquatic. [Crassulaceae family,] Quite common. There are other
aquatic representatives in this genus. This is a local plant I've found in
nature here in CA. Nice plant. Not a typical fleshy succulent plant, more
herb like. Looks a bit like small pearl grass.
