Do plants really care that much about hard water?  Also are some people
quick to blame the hardness for their problems?  I don't believe the
friendly warning Seachem provides by saying "Has a slight buffering
properties" should be treated as an invitation to blame Onyx and Seachem for
all of their problems.  I bet that warning is mainly to provide warning to
people that want to say breed apistos or discus.  I couldn't see the
buffering being a problem with plants.  Also some plants want cooler water,
not just more light, so look at all the potential problems before blaming
the Onyx, Seachem provides a warning not an invite.
