Regular flourescent bulb sockets will work just fine on VHO if what you
want is to hold the bulbs in place and light them up.  If they are
going to be directly over water without anything to keep water off the
bulb or sockets, then you might consider water-resistant sockets that
usually have an o-ring or rubber seal of some type that reduces the
risk of water getting on the electrical contacts.  The special VHO
sockets have no other useful advantages over regular sockets.
