Thekrib.com has some nfo on making your own water changers, and they discuss 
using a graden hose. The people therer seem to be of the opinion that garden 
hoses, esp. new ones, are treated with an algacide, so they'e dangerous. I 
believe they sited some sources for obtaining non-treated garden hoses.
