Remember when buying used CO2 tanks that, for a CO2 vendor to fill a
tank, the vendor is supposed to observe DOT regulations that prohibit
filling a tank that hasn't been tested and "recertified" within five
years of the date of the filling.

If you buy a CO2 tank that is near or past its last testing, the
thesting might cost about as much as a new tank -- or you might have
difficulty finding someone that will do the test.
