You can check any connect for leaks by applying a little soapy water at
the suspected leak location--if gas is escaping, it will make bubbles.
Since the CO2 system is under pressure, you are not likely to get any
seepage of soap into the system -- the amounts you would use are
negligible anyway.


Don't forget that the Eheim is a "high pressure" device and the
pressure that reads 15 pounds on your guage might not be enough.  Also,
it sometimes take a punch of higher pressure at first to get the check
valve, which functions only when oriented in one direction, to open the
first time -- they can be sticky when first used.
